Dealing with an obvious timewaster on eBay auction

I have had an eBay account for over 20 years but I mostly buy, I have almost no experience as a seller. I recently put something large and heavy up for sale, collection only. The top bidder has 100% positive feedback - but many of their positive feedback comments say they're a timewaster who doesn't pay or collect. Apparently sellers do this because eBay no longer allows negative feedback for buyers. What should I do? I am not bothered about the money. I put this item up at £1 start, no reserve. I just want it gone. I would happily give it away for free. But anyone who wants it will need to actually show up with a suitable vehicle to take it away.

It is obvious from their feedback that this is a buyer who consistently fails to pay or collect. Apparently eBay no longer allows sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers, so people leave positive feedback with negative messages instead. Indeed, it seems that sellers can even get in trouble for leaving positive feedback with a negative message. So the fact that so many have done so anyway means that I have zero trust in this buyer.

What is the best thing for me to do now? The auction still has a few days to run. I would like the item gone and not have to deal with timewasters.

I have seen some related threads on the eBay forums but frankly, I don't trust them as a source of information. They appear to be heavily moderated and full of people saying that buyers leaving positive feedback with negative messages are not following the rules.

Frankly this is bullshit and makes me not want to deal with eBay but I don't have a better way to advertise the item widely enough to find someone who wants it and can collect it.
